This piece is unfinished. When I started it, the parent had just taken off from the sunny spot on the right hand side and the three (or four) young shags were hiding in the shade. I was hoping the parent would come back to the same spot but instead the other parent came in with food and all hell broke loose so I didn't get a chance to complete it.
Charcoal, gouache and crayon.
