These Field Paintings are produced on location, observing directly from nature. Clare often uses a birding telescope so she can see the birds closer-up without disturbing them. She never use cameras or photos as she's only interested in observing and learning from life.

Clare works on thick watercolour paper using mixed media including charcoal, pencil, crayon, ink, watercolour and gouache.
