The gannet at the top right was initially sleeping but when he turned his head and looked up, I saw it was a much better composition so I quickly scrubbed out my charcoal and re-drew it.
Charcoal and gouache.
Full imperial (76x56cm) smooth watercolour paper.
P.S. Kittie pointed out to me that the feet aren't totally green - just green-veined - I couldn't see that detail from my distance.
