Charcoal study of feathers. I was working on this when Darren reviewed my morning's efforts and suggested that I didn't try to draw in every feather (as it was too easy at this stage to get them wrong and flatten the bird shape). Instead he suggested that I concentrated on looking for feather groups and drawing in the overall shape of them.
